We took a day trip down to Lake Constance (in German it's called Bodensee). This huge lake borders Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. We stayed on the German side in the city of Konstanz where we could see the Swiss Alps in the distance:
The weather was so great. It was warm and sunny and perfect for summer. This day made up for all of those cold rainy days the previous week. We finally got to enjoy our warm beach day.
We found a grassy park on the coast. Most beach areas near Konstanz are concrete or pebble, so we were glad to have some grass on which to spread out. This is the park:
There is a walkway with a handrail to get down to the water:

The older kids couldn't get enough of the water. The were like little fish. They stayed out there for hours:
Even though Erick forgot his swimming suit, he was a good sport and played in the water with the kids:
David and I preferred sitting on the edge and throwing pebbles into the water:
Goodbye Lake Constance. Thanks for the perfect day of summer:

Glad you found Summer! What a cute little place to go swimming. Love that one of Joey standing on the railing and waving at you. Such a cute girl.
Do you like how I capitalized summer? As if it were a proper name or something? Maybe I need to go to bed...
Looks like a fun swim day!
