After the race, I showered and got dressed for a day in Edinburgh. I joined Annette and a group of our friends and walked up the Royal Mile toward Edinburgh Castle.
We ran into a bagpiper on the street:

This house looks like they brought it in from Disneyland and plopped it here. It's right out of a fairy tale:
MaryAnne and I decided to hike Arthur's Seat in the evening. We didn't make it to the very top. Our legs were still sore from our race that morning. Good thing we had a flash and our phones to use as flashlights. Those rocks were steep:
We sat up on Arthur's Seat and enjoyed the city lights. Perfect end to our race day:

I love it all. I'm sure I'll be saying that on every post. So just get used to it. I am so glad we hiked up there. What a night, what a night. Such a great end to the day. And I'm stealing that picture of me :) And I'll probably say that I took it. With a self timer. Maybe I'll even put my watermark on it. Ha.
How cool is your life?
I enjoy touring Europe through your blog!
