I brought my tired kids along. They supported me by riding their bikes along the route faster than I could run.... so I felt very slow. Ha ha! No. Really my kids did such a good job riding all that way. Much of it was up hill. Here they are near the starting line:
I ran along side my amazing trainer, motivator, and running partner Mary Anne. She has helped me increase my running speed by leaps and bounds. (Try to ignore our exhausted children who stayed up too late last night. hee hee):
I ran into Norah, my new FRG leader. She ran the half marathon and rocked it! She came in third in her division. Great job Norah! (Notice my infamous photo-bomber decided to make an appearance. Again. Grrr):
In the end, I beat my personal best running time. I was super excited. Can you tell?
After the race, we let the kids play at the park. For some reason, I only took pictures of these cute boys on the swings.

Great job Tera! So proud of you. It looks like you were pushing an extra child with David.
Yes, Tera...you definitely forgot to mention that you pushed not only a stroller, but someone else's kid in that stroller! A detail not to be forgotten :) Thank you so much for being my running buddy. It is the best thing for me that I can think of, and it is most definitely getting me through the weeks. When do we start training for the half? :) After Scotland would be the right answer. Ha ha.
It is amazing to me how big David can smile with a binky in his mouth. Babe you look amazing. love you.
You are amazing! I am impressed that all of you made it and still look happy afterward :)
Fun! Looks like you did awesome. The jogging stroller's always add extra time for me, so I'm impressed you got a personal best WITH the jogging stroller! Congrats! Let me know when you start training for the half. My half is in June, and I'm getting nervous :)
Yeah!! You look fabulous, way to go on the 5k!
