A few days ago, the kids and I were in the parking lot at Erick's work patiently waiting for him to be done for the day. We decided to kill some time by exploring a nearby area somewhat hidden behind a rock wall. We were intrigued to find out that it contained a memorial to 260 Russians and Romanians who died during WWI.
Every day I am grateful to live in Europe. This blog post demonstrates exactly why I feel this way. My kids had all sorts of questions about this place and the memorial. We ended up having a wonderful discussion about history and geography and even the purpose of life:
