Because of the holiday this weekend, Erick did not have to work Monday or Tuesday. We decided to make the best of our time together by seeing some local sights. Monday we headed to the Nürnberg Zoo. The girls have been begging to go for weeks, so we finally gave in.
We saw a lot of animals. Don't worry, I didn't post them all. But here are a few highlights.
TJ with the baboons:
Joey and Bailey in front of a Polar Bear:
At the zoo, they had trampolines with bungee cords and harnesses. The kids each got to strap in and jump higher than they ever imagined. Bailey was a little nervous at first, but eventually all three kids let loose and soared into the air. It was their favorite part of the day.

TJ:
TJ was brave enough to actually let go of the cords and harness. Here he is flapping his arms like wings. "Look Mom, I'm a bird!"
The kids favorite animals of the day were the dolphins:
Sitting in front of the Dolphin tank:
The dolphins were very entertaining. They chased each other and played with balls. The kids stayed with the dolphins longer than any of the other animals:
It was a good day.
On Tuesday, we lounged around the house a little, then decided to take a quick trip to Cheb. It's a city located just across the border in the Czech Rep. Cheb is known for it's cheap shopping and open markets. It reminded me a lot of my experience in Tijuana, Mexico.
I have no pictures of Cheb. We didn't stay long. But I did purchase one thing:
It cost me 11 Euro.
We will probably go back for some school shopping for the girls. They also had some reasonably priced Bohemian Crystal. We had heard a lot about the great shopping, so next time we'll know how to be better prepared.

What a fun day! Love the bag!
The trampoline with the bungees and the harness would be so freeing. I can just imagine the sensation.
You are such a cute family and for the record I really think you look fantastic in your pregnancy shots. As you know large is an understatment with me and pregnancy, so I know where you're coming from. Just think about how adorable and non-watermelonish your new baby will be. You're such a great mom - good luck with the homestretch!
