In April, we had the opportunity to drive to Louisiana to visit my brother Thad, his wife Kim, and their super cute family. We had such a fun time reconnecting after not seeing each other for several years (except for one brief moment that Erick and Thad met for lunch in Afghanistan in 2012...) Our kids got to know their kids. We stayed up late talking and laughing. It was a great visit.
Our visit happened to work out perfectly (because Kim has awesome ideas) for us all to attend an air show at Barksdale Air Force Base. Thanks Thad and Kim! We had a wonderful time. Let's not wait so long next time!
