We saw a tower from across the river, and we decided we needed to see the city from that tower. It turns out the tower is called Galata Tower, and it was built in 1348. We had fun figuring out how to get there. It was a long and beautiful walk. We didn't even mind the occasional rain.
We had to pay the "foreign people" price, which was more than double what the locals pay to go up, but it was totally worth it.
