Paris!

Right now, Erick and I are in France. Can you believe it? I feel so spoiled right now.

It was only an eight hour drive from our home in Germany. We spent last night in Paris. It was freezing cold but absolutely magical! Before crashing in our hotel, we saw a few sights.

The Eiffel Tower:

Notre Dame cathédrale:

The Seine river:

We traveled on the beloved Metro. It brought back so many memories of my mission. The graffiti was still there:

And Erick couldn't bear to leave Paris without seeing the infamous Moulin Rouge. He was a little disappointed by its lack of grandeur:

I LOVE Paris!!!!! So jealous. Funny about Moulin Rouge. Maybe you should take the train out to Versailles. I loved Versailles. I hope you have a blast. You didn't say how long you were staying, but I guess if it's a quick trip it's only EIGHT hours away and you can go again soon!!!

So amazing to be in Paris for Valentines Day! I still can't fathom your being closer to Paris than I am to the West Coast. :) Can't wait to hear about the rest of your trip!

Where are your kids?!! I'm so glad you got a fun get away and to France no less. How beautiful and wonderful. I can't wait to come, and yes we will. But I think I'll choose summer time.

Ahhh...the metro. You have to admit, that icky pee-smell that hits you right when you descend the stairs is supposed to gross you out, but instead it makes you smile, right? Love that place.

Shut up! You are no fair!!! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the pictures!!! Did you know Danny and I got lost in Paris, wandered past Notre Dam, walked up and down the Seine river and NEVER found the Eiffel Tower??? Seriously, a crime. *sniff* You two are so cute, so glad you got a get-a-way!!!
